Summer 2022:
The First Couch
In the Summer of 2022, while furnishing an apartment, one of us purchased a used couch from Facebook Marketplace to save money, only to realize how difficult the process really was. The couch wasn’t clean, transportation was a challenge, and getting it inside was a headache. That experience sparked the idea for House of Couches, a simpler, cleaner, and more reliable way for people to buy high-quality used furniture without the stress.
Fall 2022:
Out of the Basement
From a basement setup to a storage unit and a new truck, our small operation began helping families save money with quality restored couches.
Summer 2023: House of Couches is Born
We officially named our business House of Couches, doubling our inventory and expanding to more locations to help even more families furnish their homes affordably.
Winter 2023:
First Team Members
We hired our first employees to keep up with growing demand, focusing on quality cleaning and moving. Quality has always been our #1 priority.
Summer 2025 :
Website Launch
Our new website made it simple for customers to browse and purchase their perfect couch online, connecting more people to affordable, like-new furniture.
